Five Days In London | Personal Highlights and Experience
Experience London through my eyes: what I did, what I enjoyed, and my personal journey over five days. A glimpse into my time in the city to inspire your adventures.

Last June, I had the pleasure of visiting London with my husband, who, being familiar with the city, served as an excellent tour guide. Anticipation for the trip filled me as I eagerly looked forward to exploring the city and reconnecting with relatives. Arriving on a Thursday morning, we were greeted by excellent weather despite forecasts of rain, which fortunately held off for the weekend. Our accommodation, located near Hyde Park, provided a convenient base for our adventures.
After settling in, we went on a leisurely stroll through Hyde Park, making our way to Oxford Street, Regent Street, and Buckingham Palace. The evening brought a delightful dining experience at Spice of India, an Indian restaurant.
Friday began with a visit to the iconic Big Ben tower, followed by a tour aboard a hop-on/hop-off bus, offering a comprehensive view of the city's landmarks and history. The day concluded with a ride on the London Eye at Jubilee Gardens, offering breathtaking views of the city skyline, followed by dinner with friends at Pescatori, an elegant Italian restaurant.
Saturday's highlights included a scenic boat cruise along the River Thames and a leisurely walk to London Bridge. In the afternoon, we ventured to southeast London to reunite with cousins, enjoying laughter-filled moments over food and drinks.
Sunday brought an invitation from a friend in Chalfont for a delightful lunch with his family, followed by a tour of the area. As Monday marked our final day in London, we made the most of it with a visit to Madame Tussaud's museum, capturing fun memories with wax replicas of celebrities.
Despite encountering the renowned London rain on our way to the airport, my spirits remained high as we bid farewell to this vibrant city. Reflecting on the trip, I cherished the myriad experiences London offered, notwithstanding its unpredictable weather. London's charm, diverse attractions, and warm hospitality left an indelible impression, fuelling my anticipation for future visits.
